Skye Canyon’s Patriotic Parade: A Community Celebration with a Purpose
Skye Canyon Park came alive with red, white, and blue this Memorial Day weekend as families gathered for the annual Skye Canyon Patriotic Parade, co-hosted by the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation and the Skye Canyon Community. This beloved community tradition offered families a chance to show off their patriotic pride, creativity, and commitment to giving back — all while honoring those who serve.
Participants registered to decorate their vehicles in festive stars and stripes, then lined up at 9:30 a.m. at Skye Canyon Park to kick off the celebration. The official Car Parade began at 10:15 a.m., led by a themed float and representatives from this year’s charitable partner, Kline Veterans Fund. Each participating vehicle and attendee received a limited-edition Skye Canyon event pin to commemorate the occasion.
The excitement didn’t end with the parade! Families returned to the park for a festive post-parade celebration featuring face painting, inflatable games, a live DJ, and delicious eats from fan-favorites like DonutNV and Chick-fil-A.
Thanks to the incredible spirit and generosity of our community, the event raised $1,500 for Kline Veterans Fund, an organization that provides housing and emergency assistance to local veterans and their families in Southern Nevada.
We’re proud to support our veteran community and even prouder to see our residents come together in such a meaningful way. Thank you to everyone who decorated, paraded, donated, and celebrated with us — your support makes a lasting impact. We can't wait to see your creativity and community spirit on display again next year!
