OCCF Rallys for Students with Back-to-School Supply Drive

Having the right tools for school can make all the difference in a child’s education. Studies show that proper school supplies can improve grades, boost creativity, enhance behavior, and build confidence—helping students feel prepared and motivated to succeed.

This year, as students across Clark County face growing challenges, the need for support has never been greater. That’s why the communities of Southern Highlands and Skye Canyon joined forces to host a Back-to-School Supply Drive benefiting Assisting Lives Las Vegas: Our School Boutique. The drive focused on collecting essential school supplies for students in the Clark County School District, helping to bridge the gap for families in need.

Thanks to the generosity of our residents and community partners, the drive collected more than 2,700 school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pens, crayons, and more—all destined to help local students start the year strong.

In addition to the supply collection, $150,000 was donated from the 2025 Governor’s Black Tie Event, an annual fundraiser hosted by the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation. This contribution will provide new clothing for over 1,500 students through Operation School Bell, a program of the Assistance League of Las Vegas.

Each year, Operation School Bell provides essential clothing and supplies to thousands of students in need. In 2024, the program supported 6,744 students, but with an estimated 12,000 students in the Las Vegas Valley lacking access to basic school necessities, the need remains great.

We are proud to support this vital cause and grateful to everyone who contributed to making a difference. When a community comes together, we not only fill backpacks—we help fill children with hope, confidence, and the opportunity for a brighter future.
