OCCF Honored as CORE’s Community Partner of the Year
The Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation was honored to receive the Community Partner of the Year Award from CORE during the organization’s annual Mentors and Muffins event, celebrating the meaningful impact created through collaboration, mentorship, and a shared commitment to supporting Southern Nevada youth.
CORE’s Mentors and Muffins event recognizes the important role mentors, community partners, and supporters play in helping students build confidence, achieve their goals, and create brighter futures. The event brings together students, families, mentors, and community leaders to celebrate the power of relationships and the difference a strong support system can make.
As a longtime supporter of local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and families, the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation is grateful for the opportunity to partner with CORE and support its mission. The Foundation was established in 2000 by Garry Goett and his wife Darilyne with a commitment to improving the quality of life for underserved families in Southern Nevada, with a special emphasis on women and children. Since its founding, the Foundation has raised more than $32 million to support local nonprofit organizations and initiatives throughout the community.
Through partnerships with organizations like CORE, the Foundation helps provide resources, opportunities, and support systems that empower children and families to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. CORE works alongside students and families by providing programs, resources, and community partnerships designed to support educational success and long-term opportunity.
“We are incredibly grateful to CORE for this recognition and for the important work they do every day to support students and families in our community,” said Garry Goett, Founder of Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation. “Our mission has always been centered around giving back and creating opportunities for those who need them most. We are proud to stand alongside organizations like CORE that are making a lasting difference.”
Being named Community Partner of the Year is a reflection of the shared dedication between the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation and CORE to strengthen Southern Nevada through compassion, education, and meaningful community connections.
The Foundation congratulates CORE, its mentors, students, and all those who continue to inspire change through their commitment to building a stronger future for our community.
